Like many, I first came to yoga drawn by its health benefits. What began as a hobby became a regular practice that has stayed with me for over a decade. In 2018, I completed my Hatha Yoga Teacher Training, initially seeing it as an opportunity to deepen my understanding of this ancient tradition from India.
Life has since taken me through experiences of loss and grief, which led me to explore yoga, mindfulness and sound from a more therapeutic perspective. These practices have become more than something I do on a mat. They have offered me a way to stay grounded, to listen more closely and to meet life with greater presence and appreciation.
Sound has its own language in this journey. The resonance of a gong can feel strangely familiar, almost like meeting the rhythm of my own heartbeat. Mindful yoga has gradually changed my relationship with my body, emotions, social relationships and other facets of life.
In 2025, I became a CMA-certified Sound Therapist and I am currently completing my training as a Yoga Therapist. My approach is trauma-informed, person-centred and creative, with practices adapted to the individual rather than following a one-size-fits-all formula.
My background in Comparative Literature has also shaped the way I teach. I have always had a love for words, and I draw on this when creating original meditation and relaxation materials—using language as another way to invite reflection, imagination and stillness.
This space brings these strands of my journey together: yoga, sound, words and a deep appreciation for the quieter moments in life.
